Why should I get baptized?

Baptism is an important step as you follow Jesus. It’s an outward symbol of the work that God has done in your life. Baptism illustrates a believer’s identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. The action of being immersed in the water illustrates dying and being buried with Christ. The action of coming out of the water pictures Christ’s resurrection. See Romans 6:3-4

Does baptism make me right with God?

Just like any other good work or act of obedience can’t make us right with God, neither can baptism. God has already done all the work through Jesus. Our response is to accept this gift and become His child forever! It really is that simple. God really does love you that much.
